The Mead Realisations Ltd. team are thrilled to announce our selection as a finalist in the Michelmores Property Awards. This recognition comes as a testament to Mead Realisations unwavering commitment to creating and building a sustainable and enriching learning environment for early childhood education at Busy Buddies Nursery at Puxton Park.

In August 2023, Busy Buddies Nursery embarked on a transformative journey with a comprehensive expansion project with Mead Realisations as the main contractor. This endeavour aimed not only to enhance capacity but also to integrate sustainability and community engagement into every aspect of its operations. The result is a state-of-the-art facility spanning 5,920 sq. ft., designed to cater to the diverse needs of early childhood education while prioritising environmental responsibility.

At the core of Busy Buddies Nursery's expansion lies a dedication to sustainable design elements. From utilising cleaned sheep's wool for insulation to incorporating reclaimed bricks and tiles, every construction choice reflects a deep-seated commitment to eco-friendly practices. Moreover, small yet impactful decisions, such as using hand dryers in the toilets, underscore the nursery's holistic approach to sustainability and child development.

"We are honoured to be recognised as a finalist for this prestigious award," said Alistair Mead, Managing Director of Mead Realisations. "Our journey towards sustainability has been a collaborative effort and this acknowledgment reaffirms our belief in the power of community engagement and environmental stewardship.

As we look towards the future, Mead Realisations remains steadfast in our pursuit of sustainable practices. We are excited about upcoming projects where we can continue to integrate eco-friendly design elements, promote community involvement and contribute to a more sustainable future for all."
